News Update: Friendster, Facebook, Twitter and Yahoo
After two big social networking, Twitter and Facebook now is the time for Friendster to have the rumors. The rumors said the Friendster will be sell their site to Asian buyer.
They choose the buyer from Asia because Friendster is the most Favourite social networking website in Asia. Most of their members are from Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam and Philippines.
But recently the traffic shows that the Friendster not the most favourite social networking anymore. In the top position of the most Favourite Website from those countries are Facebook in the first position and Google in the second position.
Should Friendster sell their site to Asian buyer, since this site is not the favorite one anymore on that region? The only new thing about Friendster is they give some sort of toolbar for their member to chat one to another directly from their site. I’m not really sure this chat toolbar is available for all country member or not.
The next trend goes to Twitter. But most of people from those countries feel that they use Twitter just for the “trend”. Which means they just curious about it, some of them already leave it in the first month.
#Indonesiaunite is in the top trend of Twitter a few days ago. This trend happened since two big hotels in Jakarta, Indonesia had bombed. According to local news these people using Twitter to “unite” among members and declared that they are against terrorisms and not scare of it. But these people seems get bored and leave their “group” left behind on the Twitter top trends.
Social networking website is the big trend now, even Yahoo change their “face” with the new look and add favorite social networking website such as Facebook and MySpace on it. But you can add your favorite website using the “add” button on the top right box.
The new update from Facebook is that they open the opportunity to their member to change their user name, again. I thought Facebook didn’t open this opportunity anymore since I got noticed that their only open this opportunity once.
